Hurricane Michael Devastates NW FL (10/10)
Hurricane Michael was a powerful hurricane that devastated the Florida Panhandle area near and east of Panama City on October 10, 2018 as a strong category 4 (or borderline 5) hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 155 MPH and a central pressure of 919 mb! I was on this storm and a full chase log on it is now available in the STORM CHASING section on tropical observations in the STORM CHASING section of my website under HURRICANE MICHAEL 2018.

Hurricane Season 2018 Underway (9/14)
The Atlantic hurricane season got extremely busy in early September of 2018. I conducted two tropical cyclone observations, one was tropical storm Gordon in South Florida, and the other hurricane Florence in North Carolina. Spring Chasing 2018 Completed (7/8)
I have been storm chasing on and off in the central USA in 2018 from April 28 onward until June 25, with a return to Florida on July 8. The first powerful tornado, shown below, was captured on May 1, 2018 near Tescott, Kansas. First Storm Chase In N Alabama (3/19)

Storm Chaser Convention (2/18)
The storm chaser convention in 2018 took place from February 16th through the 18th in Denver, Colorado at the Hilton Doubletree off Quebec Street and just south of I-70. Thanks to the great efforts of Roger Hill and his group for organizing this great event every year!
